It’s important for an international lawyer to know the basic rules of various countries tax laws and counsel their clients properly. International lawyers who work with taxes also help individuals and business get international tax breaks. • Although not as common as the above specialties, some international lawyers work with individuals who have been charged with war crimes. International lawyers may be in charge of the prosecution or the defense. Many cases involving infamous war criminals such as Saddam Hussein was prosecuted and defended by international lawyers.
